My Kind of Tatoo: Safety Tat Review and Giveaway

http://www.safetytat.com/images/SafetyTat_Logo_200x200.jpg

As a parent, it comes natural I think to protect and want to ensure security for your children. I think one of my biggest fear in life is something happening to my little gremlins, I can't imagine life without them. Being a mother of multiples, who's husband is usually deployed, leaves me trying to engineer ways to handle being outnumbered 9 times out of 10. I usually have the girls strapped up in their stroller, because 1. it's easier, and 2. control IS my friend, but sometimes the guilt kicks in, and I want to let them walk free, explore, etc. but the worry is soooo unsettling..

This weekend, I had the pleasure to try out this great kid-friendly product called SafteyTats. SafetyTats are washable, non-toxic, temporary tattoos. They can be customized with pre-printed information, or you can opt for the write-on version. For an extremely reasonable price you can achieve piece of mind. They can be customized with your cell number, a caregiver's phone number or your child's emergency medical information like potentially life threatening allergies. They're great for field trips, trips to the zoo, amusement parks, etc.. the possibilities are endless. We wore ours to the zoo this weekend, and since they are guaranteed to last up to 2 weeks or until removed, we had to try them out again at the aquarium for round 2.

The tattoos are also an excellent way to introduce a safety plan with your child in the event that they are separated from you. The tattoos come in bright, fun designs, which only emphasizes this message for your child. One thing you can not and should not put on a SafteyTat is your child's name. Honestly, this only gives strangers an open invitation to use a child's name to strike up a conversation. While nothing beats preparing your child for such situations, this product is an added precaution to keep them safe.

We tried out The Quick Stick Write-On!! These were made with Tateck®, an ultra-durable skin safe applique "tattoo" sticker that is waterproof and requires no water to apply. I just had to peel and stick.. They came BLANK, I just had to add my phone number on them with the included waterproof tattoo marking pen.
It can happen anywhere, at an amusement park, zoo, school field trip, or even your local shopping mall. Your attention shifts for a moment, and suddenly your child or loved one has wandered out of sight. So put the odds in your favor for a safe return, these are not a guarantee that this will NOT happen, but it can HELP reunite a parent with a lost child.
