Top 5 Friday

I was thinking the other day about how much I miss reading. I used to really enjoy diving in to a new world, with new adventures, and sometimes an out of this world experience. But lately my list of reads are Good Night Moon, The Great Big Caterpillar, Where The wild Things Are,(My all time favorite as a child by the way) etc. I think you get the picture. Now I love these books, and many of them I enjoyed as a child myself. The experience is definitely different, I live the adventure through their eyes now, but it doesn't keep me from missing but my adult stories. I'm ready for my OWN adventure.
This lead me to ponder on my favorite books, you know the ones that you cheered with the hero, cried when they ended, or even stretched it out so they wouldn't end? come on, I know I'm not the only one. Well, here are my 5 Favorite, in no particular order:

1)Interview with the Vampire(The first book in the Vampire Chronicles series) (1976) A novel by Anne Rice.

2)Eyes of The Dragon (1984) A novel by Stephen King.

3)The Manhattan Hunt Club (2001) A novel by John Saul

4)Angels and Demons (2000) A novel by Dan Brown

5)A Wrinkle in Time (1973) A Novel by Madeleine L'Engle

Now, I'd love to hear you fav 5, because I'm ready to get inspired..

Don't shoot me!

Well, I'm bummed.
My digital camera is officially broken. I was video taping the girls dancing yesterday when KEC got a hold of the camera's cord and yanked. Down it went, and HARD. So, I am faced with the tedious task of finding a new camera. I really LOVED my digital camera. Oh well, must be a way of telling me it is time to upgrade.
I have been researching for 3 hours and quite frankly, I'm even more confused now, than when I first started. I guess I'm just going to have put myself at the mercy of a sales representative and make my pick old school style. EEENY MEEENY MINEEY MOE!! Just kidding, but I've got to get a camera soon. The girls are growing right before my eyes, and I've become obsessed with picture taking. Imagine, with Muses like these, could you resist?

The researching part is so overwhelming. Most of the 2 cents you find are from tech geeks and my needs are just not the same. I wish we had a site where regular folks review and comment on products like vehicles, electronics, etc. Where we would get the recommendations in layman terms.

HHHHMMMMMMMM Might be worth looking into... It's official, I'm gonna make that my next project...

I want (EYE) Candy

I was just reading an awesome blog "Cheaper than therapy" an was inspired to play along... If asked to pick THE five? The freebie five? HMMMM!!! I definitely had to ponder these.. It's not everyday a girl gets to dream, no questions asked..

SO, in no particular order: (Since if I spent ANY more time thinking about this, my marriage may be jeopardized.

1) Patrick Dempsey, the star of Grey’s Anatomy, can be my MC Dreamy any day.. Call me a Doc Stat.. Not to mention, I had posters of him in my room in the 80's.. GGGRRRRR..

2) Johnny Depp, Need I explain? I Love all that is Johnny... WOW.. (I also had his posters in the 80's. This man can do no wrong)

3) Milo Ventimiglia from Heroes: WOW... This is definitely my HERO

4) Ozzie from Survivor. Mama's gonna have to rock the cradle on this one, but definitely wort the $1,000,000.00.

5)Josh Holloway of Lost: I'd get Lost on a deserted island with this hottie any day.

Well ... These are mine.. GO get your own. Just kidding.. This was very difficult. With so many beautiful men out there, and so many generations to choose from, I know you gals can think of some really great ones.. I'd love to hear what you come up with. If you'd rather keep it to yourself, then be it.. Just thank Jen at ""Cheaper than therapy" for at least inspiring us to think beautiful today..

Father's Day

Father's day was perfect. Being hubby's first father's day, I was really hoping for it to be memorable. We headed out to breakfast in the morning with the family (my sister, her husband and 2 children, my brother and my parents). We had a lovely time and the girls got to interact with most of the men in the family. Afterwards we came home and gave him his gift. He will be deploying for a long time and will miss Most milestones to come, so we decided to make him a calendar full or beautiful pictures and note all the important dates. I know he appreciated the thought and definitely could use this. He spent the rest of the day playing with the girls. After 13 years of wanting to be parents, nothing fills my heart like watching him with our daughters. His patience, dedication and resolve, are unmatched. This was not just for him, but I think this day will remain forever etched in my mind too.

Lil' Squirt

OK. I just had to share. I have been trying out the Squirt by Boon, and i absolutely love it. Meal time at my house is usually a true disaster. My kitchen literally looks like I put baby food on a shallow plate and put a mixer to it. Not to mention I usually have to feed the twins with three spoons, and alternate as they grab one each.. This was all until I found the Squirt by Boon. I truly wish Everyone would try this, it is absolutely amazing. It's Phthalate Free and PVC free. It holds up to 3 oz of baby food inside the bulb, and all you have to do is squeeze, very user friendly. I can actually feed both girls and barely get any on the bibs. It frees one hand (I don't have to hold a plate) and that allows me to control the situation better.
We're getting ready to take our first road trip post Squirt, and can't wait to try it out... Squirting on the Fly..
It retails for around $7.99, but shop around, I've seen it cheaper!!! If you have any tips or stories, feel free to comment.
